Dardnama initiative in Baramulla amplifies voices of terror victim families in Jammu & Kashmir

Kashmir, April 2,2026-In a significant humanitarian outreach, the Dardnama programme held in Baramulla marked another meaningful step in supporting terror victim families across Jammu & Kashmir. The initiative witnessed participation from nearly 250 affected families, many of whom shared deeply personal stories of loss, sacrifice, and resilience—voices that remained unheard for decades in the region.

Organised as part of an ongoing effort to address the concerns of victims of terrorism, the programme provided a dignified platform for families across Kashmir to openly express their grief and long-pending grievances. Several participants spoke about the silent suffering endured over the years, highlighting the urgent need for recognition, justice, and institutional support.

The initiative has been gaining momentum since last year under the leadership of Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha. It aims to identify genuine cases of terror victim families, document their concerns, and ensure that deserving cases are addressed through proper administrative channels.

The programme is being actively supported on the ground by Team Save Youth Save Future (SYSF) Foundation, which continues to work in close coordination with district administrations. Their efforts include reaching out to affected households, verifying cases, and facilitating follow-ups with concerned departments to ensure timely redressal of grievances.

Officials present at the event included Deputy Commissioner Baramulla Fakhruddin Hamid and Senior Superintendent of Police Gurinderpal Singh, along with other district officers. They assured the families of continued support and emphasised the administration’s commitment to addressing their issues with sensitivity and urgency.

The Dardnama initiative is gradually emerging as a credible platform that not only acknowledges the pain of terror-affected families but also fosters trust and renews hope for justice. By bridging the gap between victims and institutions, it seeks to bring long-overdue recognition and dignity to those who have suffered in silence.

The organisers extended their gratitude to the district administration, officials, and volunteers for their unwavering support. Special appreciation was conveyed to members of the SYSF Foundation, whose dedication continues to strengthen this humanitarian mission.

In a region that has witnessed decades of conflict, such initiatives stand as a testament to resilience, justice, and the enduring spirit of the people of Jammu & Kashmir.
