Doda, December 6: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Harvinder Singh chaired a review meeting at the Mini Conference Hall, DC Office Complex, to assess the performance of key departments in implementing government schemes. The meeting focused on the progress of initiatives within the Agriculture, Education, Animal Husbandry, Sports, District Employment, and Industries sectors.
A key discussion point was accelerating the registration process for government-sponsored schemes, such as Daksh Kisan, Kisan Credit Cards (KCC), and Kisan Khidmat Ghars (KKG), to ensure maximum benefits for farmers. It was reported that 6,000 farmers have been registered under the KKG scheme; however, the DC expressed concern over the slow pace of registration and urged officials to expedite the process.
DC Doda emphasized the importance of meeting registration targets within the prescribed timelines, ensuring that every eligible farmer is enrolled in the KKG app to guarantee comprehensive coverage. He further directed departments to intensify outreach and awareness programs, helping farmers understand the benefits of these schemes.
Calling for increased collaboration among the Agriculture and allied departments, the DC stressed the need for a streamlined registration process and the resolution of challenges at the grassroots level. He also underscored the importance of transparency and accountability in the implementation of welfare schemes to ensure timely delivery of services to all beneficiaries.
