Ramban, August 7, 2026– The 29th batch of pilgrims undertaking the annual Shri Amarnath Yatra safely passed through Chanderkote in Ramban district on Friday amid comprehensive security arrangements and well-coordinated traffic management.
The convoy, comprising pilgrims en route to the holy Amarnath Cave Shrine, was escorted under a multi-layered security cover to ensure a safe and smooth journey. Security personnel remained deployed along the route, while traffic authorities regulated vehicle movement to facilitate the uninterrupted passage of the Yatra convoy.
Officials said elaborate security measures and logistical arrangements have been put in place throughout the pilgrimage to ensure the safety and convenience of devotees. Regular monitoring, coordinated convoy movement and efficient traffic management continue to play a key role in the successful conduct of the Yatra.
The administration reiterated its commitment to providing a secure and hassle-free pilgrimage experience, with various departments working in close coordination to ensure the smooth movement of pilgrims across the Jammu–Srinagar National Highway.
