Banihal, June 6,2026- With the annual Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra 2026 set to commence on July 3, the Ramban district administration has intensified preparations to ensure a smooth and safe pilgrimage experience for devotees.
During an inspection of the Lamber Langar site in Banihal, Deputy Commissioner Ramban, Mohd Alyas Khan, reviewed the ongoing construction and infrastructure development works being carried out for the upcoming Yatra.
Speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner said that all necessary arrangements are being made well in advance of the pilgrimage. He expressed confidence that the ongoing works at the langar site would be completed before the commencement of the Yatra.
“The Yatra is going to start from July 3. We came here to review the construction work underway at the Lamber Langar site. The work will be completed well before the commencement of the Yatra,” he said.
The Deputy Commissioner also highlighted improvements in road connectivity, stating that a stretch of the highway will be opened for traffic during the Yatra period, providing better accessibility and convenience for pilgrims travelling to the holy cave shrine.
He further assured that comprehensive arrangements for accommodation, sanitation, medical facilities, and other essential services have been put in place to ensure the comfort and safety of devotees.
The administration is working in coordination with various departments to strengthen infrastructure and provide seamless facilities for thousands of pilgrims expected to undertake the sacred pilgrimage this year.
The Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra, one of India’s most revered religious pilgrimages, attracts devotees from across the country and abroad. Authorities are focusing on enhanced preparedness, improved logistics, and efficient management to ensure a successful and hassle-free Yatra season in 2026.
