NCC fosters selfless service and national interest among youth: LG Sinha

Jammu, February 2,2026-Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Monday said that the National Cadet Corps has inspired generations of youth with the understanding that national interest stands above personal gain, and that working collectively for the welfare of society represents true leadership.

Addressing NCC cadets of the NCC Directorate, Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh, who recently returned from New Delhi after attending the Republic Day Camp, the Lieutenant Governor highlighted the pivotal role played by the NCC in nurturing disciplined, responsible and socially conscious citizens.

LG Manoj Sinha said the NCC has made a significant contribution in promoting selfless service, character building and leadership qualities among the youth, preparing them to take on challenges both in public life and nation-building. He added that the organisation instils values of unity, integrity and commitment, which are essential for building a developed and progressive society.

The Lieutenant Governor praised the cadets for their participation in the Republic Day Camp, noting that such national-level exposure strengthens patriotism, cultural harmony and confidence among young participants.

He urged the youth to carry forward the values imbibed through the NCC and actively contribute towards social welfare, national unity and the development of the nation.

The interaction concluded with appreciation for the cadets’ dedication and the NCC’s continued role in shaping future leaders of the country.
