Indian Army Brings Free Healthcare to Remote Doda Village

The Indian Army’s 25 Assam Rifles organised a free medical camp at Hambal village in Doda, bringing essential healthcare services closer to residents of this remote community. The initiative focused on supporting local people, particularly ahead of the challenging winter season. During the camp, villagers received free medical check-ups, diagnostic tests, medicines and health counselling. Residents expressed their gratitude for the Army’s efforts and appreciated the opportunity to access medical care within their own village. Such initiatives demonstrate the Indian Army’s commitment to serving communities beyond its primary role of safeguarding the nation. In remote and difficult-to-reach areas, healthcare camps can provide timely medical assistance to people who may otherwise face challenges in travelling long distances for treatment. The local response reflected the strong connection between the Army and the people. Residents thanked the 25 Assam Rifles for organising the camp and for considering the healthcare needs of underprivileged families. The medical camp is a positive example of community outreach, humanitarian service and public welfare. Initiatives like these strengthen trust, promote health awareness and help make essential medical services more accessible to people living in remote areas.
