LG Manoj Sinha salutes Martyr HC Ashiq Hussain Qureshi, reaffirms resolve against terrorism

Budgam, July 24, 2026- Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha visited Lalpora in Beerwah, Budgam, to meet the family members of Martyr Head Constable Ashiq Hussain Qureshi of the Jammu & Kashmir Police, who laid down his life in the line of duty.

Kashmir , July 24,2026-Expressing deep condolences, the Lieutenant Governor said that the courage, dedication, and supreme sacrifice of Head Constable Ashiq Hussain Qureshi would forever inspire the nation. He assured the bereaved family that the entire country stands firmly with them during this difficult time.

Paying rich tributes to the fallen police personnel, the Lieutenant Governor stated that the martyr’s unwavering devotion to duty and love for the motherland will always be remembered. He emphasized that the sacrifices made by brave members of the Jammu & Kashmir Police continue to strengthen the nation’s resolve against terrorism.

The Lieutenant Governor also reaffirmed the Government of India’s commitment to eradicating terrorism from Jammu & Kashmir. He said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Jammu & Kashmir Police, Indian Army, and Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) are working in close coordination to dismantle the terror ecosystem and ensure lasting peace and stability across the Union Territory.

Highlighting the martyr’s legacy, the Lieutenant Governor said that the supreme sacrifice of Head Constable Ashiq Hussain Qureshi would continue to inspire future generations and reinforce the collective mission of building a peaceful, prosperous, and developed Jammu & Kashmir.

The visit reflected the government’s unwavering support for the families of security personnel who make the ultimate sacrifice in safeguarding the nation’s unity, integrity, and security.
