Srinagar, July 25,2026- Jammu & Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Shri Manoj Sinha on Saturday received Union Defence Minister Shri Rajnath Singh upon his arrival at Srinagar Airport.
The visit comes at a significant time as Jammu & Kashmir continues to witness enhanced security arrangements, accelerated infrastructure development, and ongoing efforts to strengthen peace and stability across the Union Territory. Senior civil administration and security officials were also present to welcome the Defence Minister.
During his visit, Shri Rajnath Singh is expected to review the prevailing security situation, interact with senior officials and armed forces personnel, and assess ongoing defence preparedness in the region. His engagements are also likely to focus on border security, operational readiness, and the welfare of troops deployed in Jammu & Kashmir.
The arrival of the Defence Minister underscores the Central Government’s continued emphasis on maintaining a robust security framework while supporting development and normalcy in the Union Territory.
