Lieutenant Governor Shri Manoj Sinha attended the ‘Ati Vishnu Mahayagya’ at Pouni, Reasi, where he paid homage to the brave soldiers and police personnel who sacrificed their lives in service to the nation. The event, organized by Pujya Sant Shri Bal Yogeshwar Ji Maharaj, has been held for several years to honour the sacrifices of the martyrs and express gratitude for their service.
During his address, the Lieutenant Governor expressed deep appreciation for the soldiers, saying, “The nation will forever remain indebted to these brave hearts who have sacrificed their lives for the cause of unity, integrity, peace, and progress. We have worked with sincerity and honesty to build the progressive and modern Jammu and Kashmir they envisioned.”
The Lieutenant Governor also renewed his commitment to eradicating the terror ecosystem in Jammu and Kashmir. He called upon all sections of society to take responsibility and join the fight against terrorism to secure the region’s future. “The terror ecosystem will be completely neutralized, and terrorists will be wiped out from Jammu and Kashmir,” LG Sinha asserted.
He highlighted Jammu and Kashmir’s exceptional growth over the last 50 months under the guidance of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. “We envisioned a prosperous and peaceful Jammu and Kashmir, and in the last four years, we have made significant strides in speeding up infrastructure development, creating a more favourable environment for industries, and increasing investments in various sectors of the economy,” he said.
The Lieutenant Governor emphasized that the government’s people-centric policies, progressive reforms, and focus on empowering youth, women, farmers, and marginalized communities have paved the way for inclusive and rapid development across the Union Territory.
He also urged farmers and stakeholders in agriculture and allied sectors to take advantage of the Holistic Agriculture Development Program, which aims to modernize and uplift the agricultural sector in J&K.
On the occasion, the Lieutenant Governor, along with Sant Shri Bal Yogeshwar Das Ji Maharaj, unveiled the idol of Bhagwan Narayan, symbolizing peace, prosperity, and protection for the region.
The event was attended by a host of dignitaries, including Sh Kuldeep Raj Dubey, Member of Legislative Assembly; Sh Vishesh Paul Mahajan, Deputy Commissioner, Reasi; senior officials from civil and police administration; army veterans; families of the martyrs; and prominent citizens from various walks of life. The ‘Ati Vishnu Mahayagya’ serves not only as a spiritual gathering but as a reminder of the sacrifices made by the security forces and the ongoing commitment to peace and development in Jammu and Kashmir.
