I am grateful to the Ayush Ministry and Akhil Bharatiya Ayurved Mahasammelan Trust who have been working hard throughout to propagate the progress of Ayurveda Chikitsa with complete devotion to keep not only the country but also the entire society healthy, said the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu & Kashmir. I believe that Ayurveda is a very important pillar of our medical system which provides us the vision of holistic living. And today through modern infrastructure this alternate medicine can cater to the health challenges of changing times, can be useful in healthcare and for the human welfare. I think this will be the biggest human service, LG said. Our biggest responsibility through this three-day Ayurveda festival is how can we make Ayurveda more popular among the common people of Jammu and Kashmir? How can it be adopted as the main method of treatment for diseases related to our lifestyle? In the last few years, various experts and researchers from India and abroad have done a lot of research on lifestyle related health problems. One thing is clearly visible in it that Ayurveda is now being mentioned in the cure of diseases of lakhs and crores of people. It is important to also mention that after 2019, Ayurveda has started getting its place in the field of public health in the Union Territory under the guidance of our Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, LG said.
