Speaking at the J&K Startup Conclave 2023, the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu & Kashmir, Shri Manoj Sinha said, interactions like this in institutes between business leaders, experts and policy makers are a crucial part to our strategy to quickly bring about transformation in Startup ecosystem of Jammu & Kashmir. I hope all of you had a very productive deliberations throughout the day and immense opportunity which the Union Territory has to offer to entrepreneurs. All of us witnessed the historic success of G20 Summit in New Delhi and Srinagar. And several bilateral trades were signed with unwavering faith by the world in India’s growth. We all know that since the Covid pandemic the world has slowed down. However, India has maintained the world’s fastest growing economy despite some startups not doing so well. At the stock exchange growth, outlook for the medium and long term remained optimistic. Recently we have seen several key decisions during India’s Saudi Arabia Investment Forum. Our Middle East Partner has decided to set up a Sovereign Wealth Fund in India to facilitate investments in our startups ecosystem. And I would like to say that if any entrepreneur is in search of the next big thing, Jammu & Kashmir is the perfect place offering high-impact entrepreneurship, resources and abundant opportunities to serve the global market. As you are aware, a major reform is sweeping through Jammu & Kashmir in the last few years. We have embarked upon several historic initiatives in developing our infrastructure, and I can say these initiatives are the biggest ever since Independence, LG said. I would also like to add here that the transformation of physical as well as social infrastructure has strengthened the innovation in the startup ecosystem and we have also removed bureaucratic barriers, unnecessary burden of compliances to ensure ease of doing business and handholding of budding entrepreneurs. I strongly believe that young entrepreneurs full of new ideas and energy are our new heroes who are changing the lexicon of success in business ventures and developing an entrepreneurial innovation-based economy in Jammu & Kashmir, LG said in his address.
