Group of 80 Women complete 3 month tailoring course organised by SWD Samba

SAMBA, JUNE 12: SANKALP: Hub for Empowerment of Women, Mission Shakti Samba today presented Certificates to women trainees who completed a 3 month Livelihood Training Programme in cutting and tailoring conducted from March 2024 to May 2024.
The training course was conducted by Social Welfare Department, in Collaboration with Nokia Smartpur Centre Dhora and Sarain Panchayat to facilitate Skill development of Rural Women to enable them to avail self employment schemes for women Entrepreneurs.
District Social Welfare Officer Nawaz Sharif; District Mission Coordinator, SANKALP-HEW Dr.Ruchi Thakur and Assistant Manager (NOKIA-Bal Raksha Bharat) Isha Bali handed over certificates to 80 trainees. Mansi Abrol and Ritika Banotra (Gender Specialists) were also present on the occasion.
Later, the SANKALP team imparted awareness on the “Beti Bachao Beti Padhao” campaign among women and girls, explaining various Women Centric schemes.
