Kashmir Ahead

A New Chapter of Hope and Dignity for Kashmiri Pandit Families

The inauguration of 1,416 transit accommodation flats at Zewan (Srinagar), Kakan Maran (Budgam), and Kulangam Bagh (Kupwara) by Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha marks a significant milestone in the welfare of PM Package employees and their families. These newly constructed residential complexes are more than just buildings; they represent hope, security, dignity, and a brighter future. The initiative reflects the Government of India’s commitment to providing safe housing, better living conditions, and a supportive environment for Kashmiri Pandit employees. As highlighted by the Lieutenant Governor, every flat represents a family, a story of struggle, patience, sacrifice, and renewed hope. Facilitating the dignified return of Kashmiri Pandit families to their homeland is not merely an administrative responsibility but also an important step towards preserving Kashmir’s rich cultural heritage and civilizational identity. The development of these three residential complexes symbolizes unity, inclusiveness, and a renewed commitment to restoring confidence among displaced families. A stronger, safer, and more inclusive Kashmir is built when every family can live with dignity, security, and pride in their homeland. A home for every family, a new hope for Kashmir!
