Female pilgrims taking home the message of selfless service shown by people during Amarnath yatra

We have finally done our Mahadev’s darshan at Amarnath cave, said a female pilgrim. How huge his form was, we loved it. This is heaven here, look at the beauty around, what a beautiful view it is. I am very satisfied with the pilgrimage. Now we will wait again when the next year comes and we can come again for darshan, said the female pilgrim. I would like to thank the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Shri Manoj Sinha. The administration has smoothened the yatra so well that I don’t think any devotee will have any complaint, said another female pilgrim recounting her yatra experience. We salute LG wholeheartedly. A lot has changed. Earlier there were not so many facilities, said another female devotee who participated in the pilgrimage to the Amarnath shrine. Ladies have toilet issues, they are available everywhere. No problem with food and drink as well. All in all, it is a very good yatra system with no problem faced by devotees either way. The public here, horsemen, even small shopkeepers are cooperating very well. People must come here, trek to the cave and get darshan of Babaji, female tourists said. Baba Amarnath is sitting in his full form, it is a very beautiful sight. The Amarnath yatra has been a great all round experience for us. At first I thought that I would not be able to do it, as I have to go on horseback and it’s a high climb. But Bholenath blessed us so much that everything went well. All the staff are cooperative. Army, police and security people keep helping pilgrims, a female pilgrim explained. We are taking the message of service before self with us. What kind of service should be done, what is service, we learned this valuable thing by coming here. We came here and saw what is called selfless service, said a female devotee looking at the sewadars all around. We felt very nice. Our life is blessed, said another female pilgrim after the darshan. Didn’t even think it would be such a good sight. The whole experience has made me so emotional that I am lost for words. We did darshan twice and saw the Aarti happening. We also saw the evening Aarti and took prasad. Those who are locals and people come from far to make stay arrangements and do the langar system. We did not not find anything lacking here, a pilgrim happily reported. We have felt so secure from Jammu till here. Before we were afraid and people used to say don’t go there. But this security suits us very well, giving comfort and confidence. The best thing about the yatra is that not even a single rupee has been spent on our food. All facilities are provided even hot water, glucose and lemon water. Both poor and rich can come for the Shri Amarnath Yatra very easily, female pilgrims stated.
