Today on the occasion of India’s 77th Independence Day, I want to thank the Jammu and Kashmir Police, and the Central Security Forces, and I pay my tributes to the brave soldiers of the army, said the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu & Kashmir, Shri Manoj Sinha. Their immense bravery and sacrifice in the defense of the motherland is guiding the whole country today by becoming a national resolution. Whenever the list of medals is published, their name is registered in a long chain of our brave police personnel from Jammu and Kashmir. Today the name of the brave martyrs is echoing in every nook and corner of Jammu and Kashmir. The Tricolour fluttering in the sky and behind the prosperity flowing in the holy soil, the sacrifice of our soldiers and heroes and the penance of their families are also included, LG said. On this occasion, I pay my respects and bow down to all our heroes and heroines and their families. Taking care of the families of these martyrs is the topmost priority of the Jammu and Kashmir administration, LG said. This is a dedicated effort. And going further also I want to assure that the Jammu and Kashmir administration will fully take care of your family members. So that they can lead a life of dignity. On this auspicious occasion, I want to say to the brave soldiers guarding the borders that the strength of the whole country and every citizen of Jammu and Kashmir is standing with you with full force. India believes in ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’ and mutual harmony. And we are always determined to protect our interests, the Lieutenant Governor said. Three years ago, on this day, standing here in front of the people, I mentioned my dream of creating a new Jammu and Kashmir, said LG Manoj Sinha. Such a Jammu and Kashmir which has modernity as well as spirituality. Such a Jammu and Kashmir in which there is a resolution as well as a fire Such a Jammu and Kashmir in which there is diversity and unity. A Jammu and Kashmir in which there is progress as well as internal speed. Such a Jammu and Kashmir which has faith and humanity. Such a Jammu and Kashmir which has equality and affection. Such a Jammu and Kashmir, in which there is an expression of equality, people should be righteous and everyone should have the freedom to live. A Jammu and Kashmir which is bustling with the sound of factories, the roar of farmers, the noise of youth in the playgrounds and the waves of music rising from the valleys in the evening, LG stated.
