Baltal, July 20,2026- Demonstrating exceptional dedication and humanitarian service, personnel of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) from the Mountain Rescue Team (MRT), Baltal Unit, came to the aid of a sick Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra devotee by carrying her on their backs across difficult terrain to ensure she received immediate medical treatment.
The incident occurred along the Baltal route of the annual pilgrimage when the woman pilgrim fell ill while trekking under challenging weather conditions. Responding swiftly, the CRPF’s specially trained Mountain Rescue Team reached the devotee and safely evacuated her through the rugged mountain trail to the nearest medical base camp.
Despite adverse weather and the physically demanding route, the rescue personnel carried the devotee over the difficult terrain, ensuring she received timely medical attention without delay. Their prompt action highlighted the preparedness and commitment of the security forces deployed for the smooth and safe conduct of the pilgrimage.
The Mountain Rescue Teams of the CRPF remain stationed along the Amarnath Yatra route to provide emergency assistance to pilgrims facing medical emergencies, accidents, or other challenges during the trek.
