Indian Army eye camp screens 98 under Op Sadbhavana

Kashmir, 25 February 2026 -An Ophthalmology Camp under Operation Sadbhavana was successfully conducted on 23 February 2026 at FSC ex 328 Field Hospital, under the aegis of 104 Infantry Brigade, in coordination with 92 Base Hospital. The initiative provided specialised eye care services to a total of 98 beneficiaries, including serving personnel, their families, ECHS members, and local civilians.

The camp aimed at delivering quality ophthalmic consultation, early diagnosis, and preventive eye care services as part of the Army’s ongoing humanitarian outreach under Op Sadbhavana. A team of experienced ophthalmologists and medical staff conducted comprehensive eye examinations, vision screening, and diagnostic assessments.

During the screening process, 22 patients were shortlisted for cataract surgery, ensuring timely surgical intervention and follow-up care. Other patients received appropriate medical advice, prescriptions, and further treatment referrals as required.

In addition to the ophthalmology services, simultaneous Medical and Dental Camps were organized at the venue, offering holistic healthcare support to attendees. These integrated efforts reinforced the commitment to community well-being while strengthening civil–military cooperation.

The initiative significantly contributed to enhancing healthcare accessibility in the region and further strengthened bonds of trust and goodwill between the Armed Forces and the local population.

Through sustained outreach programs under Operation Sadbhavana, the Indian Army continues to play a vital role in fostering social harmony, delivering essential medical services, and promoting community development.
