Budgam, February 12,2026 — Budgam Police organized a Knock-out Football Tournament at District Police Lines (DPL) Budgam under the Civic Action Programme 2025–26, witnessing enthusiastic participation from local youth and promoting sportsmanship, discipline, and positive community engagement.
The tournament saw several competitive matches, drawing large crowds of spectators and encouraging young players to showcase their talent on the field. The initiative aimed to channel youth energy into constructive activities while strengthening the bond between the police and the community.
In a closely contested final match, Rehbar 11 Budgam defeated FYCO FC Ompora by 1–0, clinching the tournament title. The final was marked by high-intensity play, teamwork, and exemplary sportsmanship from both sides.
Officials from Budgam Police highlighted that such events under CAP 2025–26 are designed to promote youth engagement, community policing, and sports development across the district. They emphasized that sports serve as a powerful platform to foster discipline, teamwork, and a positive lifestyle among young people.
