Srinagar, December 03,2025- Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Anshul Garg, on Tuesday chaired a comprehensive review meeting with all Deputy Commissioners (DCs) to assess progress on several crucial administrative matters, including appointments under SRO-43, self-employment schemes, land transfer cases involving security agencies, and housing construction for families affected by terrorism and cross-border shelling.
During the meeting, the Deputy Commissioners presented detailed updates on the status of pending and ongoing cases in their respective districts.
Garg directed all DCs to expedite SRO-43 cases to ensure timely appointments for eligible family members of terror victims. He stressed the importance of motivating affected families, including members of minority communities, to avail the benefits of self-employment and livelihood schemes.
Regarding land transfer cases related to security agencies, the Divisional Commissioner issued clear instructions to the DCs to strictly adhere to the provisions of land mutation and transfer laws, ensuring transparency and legal compliance.
The meeting also reviewed the status of under-construction BSNL towers in shadow zones. Garg instructed the Deputy Commissioners to ensure the timely completion of infrastructure work, as these towers are essential for improving connectivity in remote areas.
In addition, the Divisional Commissioner directed the officers to prioritize the disposal of public grievances received through the e-office platform, emphasizing prompt and citizen-friendly governance.
On the issue of Ring Road alignment, the DCs of Budgam, Baramulla, Srinagar, and Bandipora were asked to adopt a uniform policy for the relocation of transmission poles to avoid delays in project execution.
Garg also instructed the officers to club families of terror victims with those affected by cross-border shelling to ensure equitable benefits under the housing construction scheme.
While reviewing the annual revision of stamp duty rates, the Divisional Commissioner called for incorporating changes based on prevailing market rates and land acquisition-related considerations, stressing the need for a balanced and realistic approach.
