Budgam, September 6 , 2025: The Deputy Commissioner Budgam, Dr. Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat , on Saturday took first-hand stock of ongoing relief and rehabilitation operations across flood-affected areas of the district.
Accompanied by senior officers and field staff, the DC assessed the ground situation to ensure that aid and assistance reach every flood-affected family in Budgam district. He directed officials to expedite restoration of essential services, supply of food items, safe drinking water, and medical support for affected households.
Dr. Bhat emphasized that no family should be left out of the relief process and instructed revenue teams to conduct comprehensive surveys of damages to property, agriculture, and livestock. He also called for close coordination between line departments to provide timely rehabilitation support.
The administration assured people that all necessary measures are being taken to mitigate the hardships caused by the recent heavy rains and floods in Budgam.
Officials from DIPR J&K and DD News Srinagar highlighted the district administration’s proactive response in ensuring transparent and accountable relief distribution.
