Bhaderwah, 3 September, 2025:Heavy rainfall continued to lash Bhaderwah and Doda for the second consecutive day, causing waterlogging, landslides, and disruption of normal life across several areas of Jammu and Kashmir.
According to local reports, continuous rainfall in Doda and Bhaderwah has led to minor road blockages along key stretches, hampering vehicular movement. The slippery conditions on hilly roads have also raised concerns about the safety of commuters.
The weather in Jammu and Kashmir has remained unstable for the past two days, with the Bhaderwah valley receiving heavy showers since early morning. Farmers in the region expressed worry over damage to crops due to incessant rains, while shopkeepers reported a decline in footfall in market areas.
Authorities have advised residents in vulnerable locations of Doda district and Bhaderwah town to remain cautious, particularly near riverbanks and landslide-prone zones. The Meteorological Department of Jammu and Kashmir has predicted more rainfall in the Chenab Valley region in the coming 24 hours.
Local administration teams in Bhaderwah and Doda are closely monitoring the situation to ensure swift restoration in case of road damage or flooding. Emergency helplines have also been kept on standby.
