Srinagar, July 20, 2025 – Delhi Public School (DPS) Srinagar proudly celebrates the extraordinary achievement of its youngest cyclist, Noor-u-Sabba, a UKG-F student, who successfully completed the challenging 13-kilometer race in the Under-14 category of the ‘Pedal Through Paradise’ Cyclothon 2025. Despite being among the youngest participants, Noor-u-Sabba showcased remarkable determination, endurance, and enthusiasm, proving that age is no barrier to courage and perseverance.
The cyclothon, organized by the Jammu and Kashmir Armed Police in collaboration with the Fit India Movement, took place on July 20, 2025, drawing over 3,000 participants aged 5 to 60, including specially-abled riders. The scenic 13-km route stretched from the Police Golf Course to Harwan and back, set against the breathtaking backdrop of Dal Lake, promoting fitness, healthy living, and youth engagement.
Noor-u-Sabba’s inspiring performance stood out as she pedaled with unwavering focus, competing alongside older cyclists and winning hearts along the way. Her achievement reflects the values of resilience, discipline, and sportsmanship nurtured at DPS Srinagar.Speaking at the event, Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Anand Jain emphasized the cyclothon’s role in inspiring young people to lead active, drug-free lives and contribute to nation-building. “This event sends a message to the youth to channel their energy toward fitness and positive engagement,” he said.
DPS Srinagar Principal Shafaq Afshan expressed immense pride, stating, “Noor-u-Sabba’s success is an inspiration to all our students.
