Srinagar, July 20, 2025 – Lieutenant Governor Shri Manoj Sinha attended the felicitation ceremony of the ‘Pedal Through Paradise’ Cycle Race-2025, organized by J&K Police in Srinagar, commending the initiative for promoting unity, fitness, and a drug-free Jammu and Kashmir. Over 5,500 cyclists from across India participated in the event, competing in 10 categories.
In his address, LG Sinha lauded the J&K Police for their selfless service, duty, and sacrifices, noting that their bravery has strengthened national unity and ushered in an era of peace and prosperity in the Union Territory. “The legacy of J&K Police is written by the blood of its brave personnel, whose sacrifices have inspired hope and propelled J&K towards progress,” he said.
Highlighting the significance of the cycle race, LG Sinha described ‘Pedal Through Paradise’ as more than a sporting event, calling it a symbol of a progressive Jammu and Kashmir. “This initiative under the J&K Police’s Civic Action Program nurtures new dreams, instills strength, and inspires youth to choose progress over violence and drug addiction,” he emphasized.
The Lieutenant Governor urged the youth to contribute to building a terrorism-free, drug-free, and fit Jammu and Kashmir. He reiterated his resolve to dismantle the ecosystem fueling terrorism, including networks responsible for radicalizing youth, supplying weapons, funding, and assisting terrorists. “Our policy is clear: don’t touch the innocent, do not spare the guilty. We are committed to establishing peace, not buying it,” LG Sinha affirmed, pledging to deliver justice to victims of Pakistan-sponsored terrorism and eliminate every terrorist and their support system.
