Why the divinity of Mata Vaishno Devi shrine keeps attracting pilgrims

Vaishno Devi shrine located at Trikuta mountains in Jammu at an altitude of 52,000 feet, is one of the holiest pilgrimage places to visit in India. Vaishno Devi is dedicated to Hindu Goddess and visited by thousands of devotees every year. To facilitate the Yatris, a free registration counter is set up at the Yatra Registration Counter in Katra. Vaishno Devi shrine is a 12-km trek from Katra. In the middle of the journey to Vaishno Devi, devotees pray at ArdhKuwari Temple. Another stop, Saanjichhat, 3.25km from ArdhKuwari offers a panoramic view of the Kashmir Valley. During Navratras and festivals, the whole yatra route gets decorated with flowers and lights. Navratri brings a surge of pilgrims to Vaishno Devi every year. The Jammu & Kashmir government has made special arrangements for devotees. Mata ki Chauki, Ramlila shows, and Prabhat Pheris featuring artistes from different states are attracting the visitors. During the Navratris in 2022, around 2.5 lakh devotees paid obeisance to the holy shrine during the first seven days of the Navratri. The Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Shri Manoj Sinha too visited the holy shrine during Ashtami.
