Srinagar, April 27, 2026-Ahead of its official launch on April 30, the introduction of the Vande Bharat Express in the Kashmir Valley has been met with widespread enthusiasm, with residents across the region—particularly in Anantnag—expressing joy and optimism over enhanced connectivity.
Locals in Anantnag described the new rail service as a transformative step that will significantly ease travel within the Valley and beyond. Many residents highlighted that the Vande Bharat Express will not only reduce travel time but also provide a modern, comfortable, and reliable transport option for daily commuters, tourists, and business travelers.
“This is a historic moment for us. Better rail connectivity means more opportunities for trade, tourism, and employment,” said a local resident, adding that the train service will strengthen links between Kashmir and other parts of the country.
