Trout fish pisciculture is flourishing in Jammu and Kashmir. Trout farming is becoming a booming business in Jammu and Kashmir’s Srinagar. The Trout fish farming project in Kokernag is considered Asia’s biggest trout farm. The Trout fish seeds go to different states such as Vadodara, Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh and Andhra Pradesh. Lakhs of eggs were produced following breeding operation in March-April. Around 10 lakh eggs were collected and the hatching process is on.
