‘My Town My Pride’ is a beautiful example of a public outreach programme that has been started on a massive scale in urban areas. In Anantnag district of Jammu & Kashmir, the administration is going to people, to assess their developmental needs and the development perspectives have been made public oriented. Residents said how officers are coming door-to-door to help the people. People feel this is the best platform to address public grievances. So people come forward and their demands are attended to by the officers. Rapid action is taken on their complaints.
