A mega book exhibition was held in Pampore, Pulwama in Jammu & Kashmir. The major purpose of the book exhibition was to to promote reading habits in the youth, said Basharat Qayoom, DC Pulwama. I want students to come out of the curriculum and expand their knowledge. A number of youth participated in the mega book exhibition. Generally, the youth read books and then in five minutes start looking at their mobiles. So they are distracted from acquiring knowledge. That is why the concept of books is very important, students said. Books are important for every student who want to achieve something in their lives. Books can lead us on the path of progress. It can happen only when we read books and gain knowledge from them, said another student. After Corona, digital reading had increased and students preferred to read from their phones. But students acknowledged how diverting phones are and in contrast one can relax and study from books.
