On June 29, J&K LG Shri Manoj Sinha addressed senior wing cadets of the National Cadet Corps (NCC) at the Special National Integration Camp held at the JAKLI Regimental Centre in Rangreth, Srinagar. This significant event brought together 250 cadets from 17 directorates across India, aimed at promoting the spirit of ‘Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat’. He commended the NCC Directorate of Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh for their efforts in organizing the camp, which serves as a platform for young cadets to forge lifelong friendships, appreciate diverse cultures, and foster unity. He emphasized that the NCC, in line with its motto “Unity and Discipline,” has consistently served society with dedication, contributing significantly to nation-building. The activities at the camp embodied the spirit of unity in diversity, instilling in cadets the values of discipline, integrity, and camaraderie. He highlighted the core values of the NCC, which transcend boundaries of race, religion, and gender, promoting human dignity and equality. These values, he noted, bind individuals to a shared vision for a brighter future. Reiterating the administration’s commitment to empowering the youth of Jammu Kashmir, the LG encouraged the youth to join the NCC in large numbers and serve society and the nation selflessly. He announced the establishment of three new NCC units and the inauguration of state-of-the-art training academies in Nagrota and Leh. These initiatives are designed to connect the youth with innovation and start-up opportunities. As part of the ‘Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat’ programme, the camp allowed cadets to showcase India’s rich and diverse cultures through various performances. This cultural exchange aims to foster mutual understanding and respect among the youth from different parts of the country. The Special National Integration Camp exemplifies the spirit of national integration, providing a platform for young cadets to embrace and promote common values of patriotism, integrity, and selfless service. Through such initiatives, the NCC continues to play a crucial role in shaping future leaders and strengthening the fabric of the nation.
