Lt Gov Sinha Advocates ‘Vocal for Local’ for Jammu & Kashmir’s Economic Growth at Mahotsav 2023 The Lieutenant Governor of Jammu & Kashmir, Manoj Sinha was addressing Mahotsav 2023 organised by Ladakh, Jammu & Kashmir Economic Growth and Development Dialogue (LEAD). He asserted that the ‘Vocal for local’ initiative has the potential to put J&K on a higher growth path. Lt Governor Manoj Sinha asked young entrepreneurs to take advantage of new opportunities. A unique event has been organised in which different personalities have gathered at one place, he said talking about the Mahotsav. Be it entrepreneurs or aspiring youth, this program will be beneficial, LG said. And the goal of sustainable development, which we call development as well as heritage, will help in fulfilling this resolution. I hope that in these two days a mixed program of cultural cooperation and suggestions will lead to a new solution, LG said. You all will provide enthusiasm to move forward in the new wind of development as per the expectations of the country, LG said. Highlighting the growth potential of various sectors in Jammu Kashmir, the Lt Governor called upon young entrepreneurs to take advantage of new opportunities. Under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Vocal for local initiative is full of dynamism and potential to put J&K on a higher growth path said the Lt Governor. A platform has been provided to discuss new developments and future roadmap for the development of these two Union Territories. In 2014, a big change took place in the country and India’s respected Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi said that youth is the living force of ancient India and by guiding their talent in the right path, India’s new power can be presented to the whole world. If I talk about Jammu and Kashmir, three medical colleges were there in seven decades, and today, seven new medical colleges have been built in seven years. Many institutes like 2 AIIMS, IIM, NIFT, two Cancer Institutes, a Bone and Joint Hospital are found in Jammu and Kashmir. Jammu is perhaps the first city in the country where all the premier educational institutions are present. This change has opened the doors of endless possibilities for young India, said the Lt Governor.
