LG Manoj Sinha Pays Tribute to J&K Police: “Their Courage Defines Our Identity” Today, on Police Commemoration Day, on behalf of all the residents of Jammu and Kashmir, I express my deepest respect and gratitude for your passion and service, said the Lieutenant Governor of J&K, Shri Manoj Sinha. I have been continuously trying to propagate this fact in the consciousness of the public that strength, dedication to duty, bravery, surrender and sacrifice are the main identity of Jammu Kashmir Police. Jammu Kashmir Police Force’s incomparable bravery and effort, selfless service, courage, discipline and sense of duty, whether it is playing a vital role in relief work during the current disaster or ensuring the rule of law or fighting against terrorism, our brave police personnel and officers have selflessly risked their lives and laid the foundation for an inspiring tradition for police forces across the country. I know that the sacrifices made by our brave police personnel to protect the unity and integrity of our motherland are priceless and cannot be measured in money. Therefore, on Police Memorial Day, I would definitely like to say that we are fully committed to not only sympathize but also to ensure that the families of the martyrs can live their lives with facilities and respect and I assure you of every kind of assistance, LG said. From 1860 to June 2024, our criminal justice system worked on the foundation of laws made by the British Parliament.Three such laws – IPS, CRPC and IBA – have been replaced by the new Criminal Law from July 1, 2024. We must always keep in mind that the pace of economic development of the people should be connected to the mainstream and justice should reach them in a complete manner. Let us all pledge today to contribute to making the roadmap of development safe and strong with the ideals of leadership, strength and discipline, compassion and perseverance, LG opined.
