Srinagar,May 28,2026- Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Wednesday directed security and law enforcement agencies to launch an intensified crackdown on narco-terror networks across the Union Territory, warning that drug smuggling and terrorism pose a serious threat to the future of J&K’s youth.
Chairing a high-level security and anti-narcotics review meeting in Srinagar, the Lieutenant Governor stressed the need for coordinated action to dismantle the entire narco-terror ecosystem operating in Jammu and Kashmir.
“Those attempting to destroy our youth through drugs and terror will not be spared. The narco-terror ecosystem must be crushed completely,” LG Manoj Sinha said during the meeting.

Officials were directed to identify vulnerable areas, monitor cross-border narcotics movement, and take strict action against individuals involved in financing or supporting drug-related activities. LG Sinha also emphasized stronger enforcement under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.
Highlighting the growing concern over drug abuse among youth, the Lieutenant Governor said the administration is committed to making Jammu and Kashmir drug-free through a multi-pronged strategy involving law enforcement, awareness campaigns, rehabilitation, and community participation.
