Khelo India 2025 Games in Gulmarg reflects the new identity of Jammu Kashmir: LG Manoj Sinha

J&K LG Manoj Sinha inaugurates Khelo India 2025 at Gulmarg. This is the Maha Kumbh of Winter Games for the whole country, said the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu & Kashmir, Shri Manoj Sinha while Inaugurating the 5th Khelo India Winter Games in Gulmarg. Gulmarg is a world famous winter games tourism destination. The Government of India has worked hard to take the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir as well as Ladakh Union Territory to the pinnacle of progress in Winter Games. In the last four to five years, many sports national events have been organised in Jammu and Kashmir and these have inspired sports players to achieve great success. The Sports Council has been striving for the best performance of players in every discipline for many years. This year in Ranji Trophy, Jammu Kashmir team gave a stunning performance by defeating Baroda and Mumbai in quarter finals to establish a new record. This is the picture of players growing with new passion, this is the new Jammu and Kashmir, LG said. I am grateful to the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi under whose guidance in Jammu & Kashmir a global standard coaching was established. Today, new support for sports is visible in the entire country and its reflection is also seen in Jammu and Kashmir. I believe that youth energy and passion in the sports field is the new identity of Jammu and Kashmir, LG stated. International cricket returned to J&K after three decades. I welcome all players to present such an example of their performance and sportsmanship that it becomes a new example for the future generation, especially for our youth, LG Manoj Sinha said concluding his address.
