Kashmir apples to go international next season

Kashmir’s 90 per cent population depends on fruits, says Manzoor Ahmad, an apple grower. We hope that the rate of fruit drops and we get maximum profit. The apples are grown naturally. By 15th October all the apple fruits are plucked. In the apple orchards, labour is required to pluck the apples and then to pack them in boxes. Then it requires transportation. In this manner, a lot of employment is generated from the apple trees. He says that next year we will see more growth and progress in the apple sales courtesy the LG government. Shri Manoj Sinha has taken note of this and assured that the apples will be directly transported by air to different countries and states. So the next apple season we will hopefully see increased apple rates and good business, said apple grower Manzoor Ahmad.
