Jashn-e-Kashmir, a cultural festival programme was recently organised in Kashmir’s Kulgam district. Chief guest Dr. Bilal Mohi-ud-Din Bhat, DC Kulgam said that the honourable Lieutenant Governor of Kashmir, Shri Manoj Sinha had given directions to promote the art and culture of Kashmir. There needs to be more awareness among the people about Kashmiri cultural heritage, LG had said. This will give the local artists a chance to come forward and display their talent, said DC Kulgam. A lot of local artists participated in the Jashn-e-Kashmir event. Shah Qalander Folk Theatre in collaboration with J&k Academy of Art, Culture & Languages, the Office of Divisional Commissioner (Kashmir), and all J&K Folk Artists Association were involved in the Jashn-e-Kashmir event. Such programmes, the DC said, will lead to refinement of the Kashmiri culture.
