J&K LG leads the Tiranga march from Dal Lake; relives historical zeal of Independence

A Tiranga march was organised in Jammu & Kashmir. Shri Manoj Sinha, Lieutenant Governor J&K, led the Tiranga march with other dignitaries and Kashmiri folks. People in Kashmir carried the Tricolour flag with pride as they marched from Dal Lake till Botanical Garden in Srinagar reliving the Independence zeal of August 15, 1947. Prime Minister Narendra Modi had said the Indian national flag is a reflection of the pride of our past, our commitment to the present and our dreams of the future.

The ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ is a campaign, launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to honour Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav. The Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav commenced on March 12, 2021, which started a 75-week countdown to our 75th anniversary of Independence. The intention is to encourage people to celebrate the 75th year of India’s independence by bringing the Tiranga home and to hoist it. In this manner they will come closer to the glorious history of India’s people, culture and achievements.
