He also bowed down to the virtuous soul of freedom fighter Late Sheikh Abdul Jaffar. The projects launched in Ganderbal are our efforts to make progress, LG said. Road upgradation work, construction of new roads, Wayil bridge among others are going to bring big changes in the lives of 4 lakh residents and will bring happiness. The successful G20 meeting is indicating the rise of new Jammu and Kashmir to India as well as to the entire world, LG said. The happiness of every brother and sister of Ganderbal is the biggest priority for the administration, LG said. The projects which were delayed also have been completed. In the last financial year under the aspirational plan development programme, 590 families were trained for self employment schemes of mushroom and bee keeping. To fulfil the dream of our PM Narendra Modi to give permanent dwellings to all, around 1607 people have been identified who do not have homes. Forty percent of homes have been constructed so far. The rest will be constructed in this financial year, LG said. In the programmes, Back to Village and My Town My Pride, 3,500 Ganderbal youth were disbursed Rs 387 crore for self employment. He requested the people to follow their tradition so that this year, the Amarnath yatris should see such an environment that Ganderbal’s name will get famous in the whole country. Dr Arun Kumar Mehta, Chief Secretary J&k said that the pace of work has progressed ten times more under the powerful leadership of the Lieutenant Governor.
