Glimpse J&K’s offbeat spots through a series of paintings

The Lieutenant Governor of Jammu & Kashmir, Shri Manoj Sinha inaugurated an exhibition of paintings titled, ‘Ekaant, an ode to home in the mountains’ by a young officer, Abhishek Sharma which was held at SKICC centre in Srinagar. The paintings exhibited a series of impressions of offbeat landscapes of Jammu & Kashmir. The Lt Governor congratulated Abhishek for doing a commendable job. He said it is part of the native culture of Kashmir. There is no dearth of talent in Kashmir and the young officers will contribute to it in future endeavours. . Abhishek said, through his paintings he has shown many offbeat places in Jammu & Kashmir which people are not aware of. I have painted the offbeat destinations and presented them through this exhibition,‘Ekaant, an ode to home in the mountains’. The purpose is to generate curiosity in people to visit these offbeat places.
