REASI, JULY 04: National Service Scheme (NSS) Unit of the Government Degree College, Dharmari organized a plantation drive in collaboration with Divisional Forest Office, Mahore as a part of Van Mahotsav Week-observed from 1st July to 7th July every year.
As many as 25 NSS volunteers along with the officials of Forest Department and staff of the College planted various trees on the newly constructed campus of the college. The Theme of the drive was ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ which is a campaign of the central government launched by the Prime Minister on the occasion of World Environment Day 2024 during Mann Ki Baat.
Prof. Ajay Kumar, NSS program Officer of the Unit made the volunteers aware about the importance of planting trees especially during Van Mahotsav and also said that the campaign will continue till the end of this monsoon. All the faculty members also remained present on the occasion including Dr. Shabeer Ahmad Taing, Dr. Saleem Ahmed, Prof. Mohinder Singh etc.
