According to local reports light to moderate snowfall began in the higher reaches of Gurez and continues through the early hours , leaving Tulail, Kanzalwan, and adjacent areas draped in snow.The change in weather has brought down temperatures significantly , signalling the arrival of the winter season in North Kashmir
Officials from the metrological department said that intermittent rainfall and snowfall are likely to continue in parts of North Kashmir over the next few days. Residents have been advised to take necessary precautions as the cold wave intensifies
