In his speech, he emphasised the importance of engaging in cultural and artistic programs as a healthy alternative to the perils of drug addiction. Rather than falling into the trap of substance abuse, which robs the youth of their potential, he urged everyone to find meaning and fulfillment in the richness of art and culture. He spoke of how the Central Government, under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, has been tirelessly working to develop the Union Territory, fostering growth and opportunity at the grassroots level. The strengthening of local governance, through Mahatma Gandhi’s vision of self-governing autonomous local bodies, was highlighted as a cornerstone of this progress.
