The distribution process at the distribution centers of the three major constituencies commenced promptly at 7 AM. This marks the beginning of a significant endeavour, as the outcome of the election rests on the shoulders of over 18.36 lakh voters, who will determine the fate of 20 candidates. Following the completion of necessary formalities, the Election Commission swiftly dispatched voting machines to the initial polling stations, even those situated slightly further away. Across Jammu and Kashmir, the Election Commission has established 2,338 polling stations to facilitate the electoral process. This initial phase of the electoral process holds immense importance as it involves meticulous checks and preparations. Each polling station receives Electronic Voting Machines and Voter Verified Paper Audit Trail (VVPAT) machines to ensure the seamless conduct of the voting process. The efficient execution of these early stages sets the tone for a smooth and fair election. With the deployment of technology and careful planning, the Election Commission endeavours to uphold the integrity and transparency of the electoral process in Anantnag and throughout Jammu and Kashmir.
