SAMBA, DECEMBER 16: Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Choudhary visited the ongoing construction of the Thandi Khui bus terminal in Samba district. The terminal, being built by the Public Works Department at an estimated cost of Rs 18.53 crore, will have a capacity to accommodate 100 buses. It is designed to serve as a hub for inter-district and intra-district buses, as well as buses from other states, offering a central point for commuters traveling across Jammu and Kashmir.
During his inspection, the Deputy Chief Minister emphasised the need for the project’s expedited completion, urging officials to ensure that the work adheres to the highest quality standards. He highlighted the project’s importance for improving connectivity in Samba and the broader Jammu division.
“Officers must ensure the timely completion of this terminal, addressing any issues promptly to ensure the public can benefit from this vital infrastructure,” he stressed.
