Anantnag, September 6 , 2025: Chief Minister Omar Abdullah today chaired a high-level review meeting in Anantnag to assess the post-flood situation and ongoing relief operations in the district.
During the meeting, the Chief Minister directed the district administration to expedite relief and rehabilitation measures, ensuring that essential assistance reaches every flood-affected family. He emphasised the immediate restoration of essential services, including electricity, drinking water, and healthcare facilities.

Omar Abdullah further instructed officials to prioritise repair of damaged infrastructure, strengthen vulnerable embankments, and maintain adequate supply of food, medicines, and safe drinking water in the affected areas.
Stressing on close coordination between departments, he urged the administration to adopt a proactive approach in addressing people’s grievances and mitigating hardships caused by the recent floods.
Officials present at the meeting assured that efforts are underway to restore normalcy and safeguard both lives and property in Anantnag district.
