Children with disabilities fight a cricket match in Shopian in J&K

International Day of People with Disability (IDPWD) is celebrated every year on December 3. Showkat Ahmed, District Social Welfare Officer in Shopian, Jammu & Kashmir says, a cricket match was organised between the disabled children of Shopian and Pulwama. It is our continuous effort to make the differently abled part of the main society. We try to involve them in every activity like sports, music, etc so that they are not left alone. They are rightfully an inclusive part of society. They are full of talent. In activities like these their hidden talent comes out. Cricketer Mohd. Jhangir Wani says, these children get encouragement through these programmes that they can fight with life, fight to transform their life.
