A mega sports uniform distribution drive was carried out at Chadoora town in Jammu & Kashmir organised by the President Municipal Committee (MC) Chadoora, Syed Fahad Andrabi. The drive was aimed at pulling the youth away from drugs into positive energies like physical fitness and sports. This is the only option, say officials. To realise this initiative, we manufactured sports uniforms and provided them to the youth at an event, said President MC Chadoora. A player from Chadoora, Jeetpal Singh also thinks that the event is a good attempt to keep the youth away from drugs influence and to incline them towards sports. This is a nice way to promote sports. Events like this should happen in every district, says Jeetpal. Other residents of Pulwama also think it is a good initiative, and through sports the youth can bring fame to their name and locality. Locals are relieved that the youth can engage their minds in football, cricket and volleyball or any other game of their choice, but at least they will not be into the clutch of drugs. Further, President MC Chadoora has ensured that if there is anything lacking like no playground available or practice sets, the municipal committee will take care of those by asking the government.
