Baramulla’s Dr. Mubarak Lone appointed Urdu lecturer, sets new academic benchmark in Kashmir

Baramulla, April 27,2026–In a moment of pride for north Kashmir, noted poet and academic Dr. Mubarak Lone has been selected as a Lecturer in Urdu, adding another significant achievement to his distinguished academic and literary career.

Hailing from the historic Khadinyar village in Baramulla, Dr. Lone was born and brought up in the area and has long been associated with the promotion of Urdu literature. He holds the distinction of being the first Ph.D. scholar in Urdu from Khadinyar, a feat that has inspired many aspiring students in the region.

Over the years, Dr. Lone has established himself as a respected voice in literary circles, contributing through his poetry and academic work. He has authored several books, reflecting his deep engagement with Urdu language and literature. Notably, one of his works received sponsorship from the Government of Uttar Pradesh, further highlighting the recognition of his scholarly contributions beyond Jammu and Kashmir.
