My Bharat Initiative opens new opportunities for youth in Kupwara

The Government of India, through the My Bharat initiative under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, is creating new opportunities for young people to participate, express their ideas and contribute to the country’s development. The initiative aims to connect youth with meaningful opportunities while encouraging them to develop confidence, leadership qualities and a clear vision for their future. The programme follows a multi-stage selection process. It begins with a quiz, after which shortlisted participants move forward to competitive stages involving presentations. Young people who deliver outstanding presentations, following confirmation from the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, can get an opportunity to present their ideas before Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Such programmes provide youth with exposure beyond their regular academic and social environments. They encourage participants to think about their aspirations, understand their responsibilities and identify the areas where they can make a meaningful contribution to society. There is also a strong emphasis on encouraging participation from Kupwara district, particularly from far-flung and previously underrepresented areas. Providing young people from these regions with such platforms can help bring forward fresh ideas and diverse perspectives. The initiative serves as an opportunity for youth to develop their personalities, strengthen leadership skills and participate confidently in the nation-building process. Maximum participation from remote areas can ensure that young voices receive wider representation and contribute to the vision of a developed India.
