26th Amarnath Yatra convoy crosses Chanderkote safely on NH-44

Ramban, August 3,2026- The 26th batch of the Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra 2026 convoy crossed Chanderkote on National Highway-44 (NH-44) safely on Monday under comprehensive security arrangements put in place by the district administration and multiple security agencies across Ramban district.

The convoy of pilgrims, travelling towards the Holy Amarnath Cave Shrine via the twin routes of Pahalgam and Baltal, moved smoothly through the Chanderkote transit point under the supervision of civil administration, Jammu and Kashmir Police, CRPF, traffic authorities, and other security personnel deployed along the national highway.

Authorities ensured seamless movement of vehicles by implementing elaborate traffic management, route security, medical preparedness, and emergency response measures. Security forces maintained strict vigil at key locations throughout the district to ensure the safe passage of pilgrims undertaking the annual pilgrimage.

District officials monitored the convoy’s movement closely while teams remained stationed at strategic points to provide assistance in case of any emergency. Medical teams, disaster response units, and highway maintenance personnel were also kept on standby to ensure uninterrupted travel despite the challenging terrain along NH-44.

The Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra continues to witness strong participation from devotees across the country. The Jammu and Kashmir administration has been coordinating with various agencies to provide a secure, smooth, and comfortable pilgrimage experience through enhanced surveillance, regular road assessments, and round-the-clock monitoring.

Officials reiterated their commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of all pilgrims until they reach their destination safely. The successful movement of the 26th batch reflects the coordinated efforts of the district administration, security forces, and supporting departments working together for the smooth conduct of the Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra 2026.
