Amarnath Yatra 2026: Inside the Multi-Layer Security Shield for Pilgrims This year the Amarnath Yatra goes on for 56-57 days and overall it is more than 60 days of pilgrimage. The threats have been analysed by the different intelligence agencies, said a security personnel. Their feedback has been taken into consideration along with our feedbacks. And all multiple agencies, CRPF, JKP and sister agencies have provided multi-layered security arrangements. There are three ways in which security arrangements have been done, added the security person. First of all, yatris come to the frisking point. From there they get down from the vehicles and all their baggages go through the X-Ray machine. At the same time, there are multiple CRPF bomb squad teams and dog squad teams that examine every baggage and vehicles that pass by so that no unwanted elements enter Pahalgam. After this security process, the yatris enter the Nunwan Base Camp. At the Nunwan Base Camp, there are doctors available, all arrangements are there, cleanliness, sanitation, hygiene and also frisking for security. I am confident that the devotees visiting this camp will not face any inconvenience, added the security personnel. The Administration has provided all kinds of services for the pilgrims. the security forces mainly the CRPF and Jammu Kashmir Police have made tight security arrangements for the pilgrims.
